Valentine Mini Album Hop/Swap

Now onto the projects:
I made this small Valentine mini book from chipboard. The Paper is from K&Company. I used Create a Critter to cut the bunny at 2 in. The heart is cut from Doodlecharms at 1 3/4 in.

I cut the Dolly Frame 3 in with Cindy Loo Cartridge. The small square is the shadow dolly at 1 1/2 in from Cindy Loo Cartridge. I use stickers from Recollections.

The Hearts are cut at 1 3/4 Doodlecharms. Stickers and ribbon are Recollections.

Stickers and Chipboard Accents from Recollections and KandCompany.

I cover a cardboard frame with KandCompany paper. Used the Love Sticker and flower from Recollections in and on the frame. The Heart swirl is cut with Cricut Everyday cake.

World Wide Marriage Day Blog Hop-Day One

My projects are layouts of my wedding for my wedding album. We got married outside at our favorite park. It was suppose to be in a Gazebo, but right at the time we were to get married, a storm came in. So we got married in the shelter where the reception was to be held. We were still drenched and in some of the pictures I look like a drowned rat. However after the ceremony and we dried off, we got a couple of nice pics in the gazebo(Last Layout). My wedding was far from perfect, but as our family and friends recall it was the "Perfect Wedding Storm" I will never forget it. While one of my cousins continues to make fun of the pictures and our wedding, every moment was very special including getting married in the middle of a storm with family holding umbrellas around us to keep us from getting wet during the ceremony. So, here are a few of the layouts I have done. I still more pictures and layouts to do, but here are the ones I have done for this hop.

I absolutely love my family, but I have often told them and my dear husband when we dating that if you love me then you have to love my Cat. At the time, I only had Cuddles. Of course now, I have 2 cats-Cuddles and Kit Kat. So my project is titled Love Me Love My Cats. Hubby does love both of our frisky felines and they certainly have our family tied around their little paws. Especially Hubby!LOL

Ok so enough of my banter, and onto my project. As I said, I made a layout of my 2 darling felines. I used my favorite pictures of them, of course, and some fun bright colors.

The Papers are from Doodlebug called Pretty Kitty(Old Paper I had from 2007). Pink Cardstocks are Bazill Chablis and Fuchusia. Tealish colors are Color Mates Medium Terrific Teal and Dark Terrific Teal. I used some shiny pink rick rack and Pink and Teal Ribbons.

I made little collars with the Cricut All Mixed Up Cartridge 1 1/2 in. I ran some ribbon through it and put their names on it with a Pink Zig Pen. I used a Fiskar Heart Corner Punch. I used a Pink and Teal Glitter Marker by Martha Stewart to accent the hearts. I used Martha Stewart Glitter Markers on the title and dies too. Title was cut with All Mixed Cricut Cartridge at 2 in.

My layout today is Bedtime with Pooh. I used Pooh and Friends to cut out Pooh, the moon and the stars. The title is cut with Pooh Font and Shadow. I used stickles on ball of Pooh's night hat, the moon and the stars. I gave them little faces too! I had some Pooh stickers so I put a couple of the character ones on brown paper and cut around it like a mat. Simple little layout for the new baby. The Striped and Dotted Paper is from Daisy Buckets and the Pooh Paper is from Sandylion. Again Congrats Lisa and Rebecca!

My project for today is a Bathtime Layout. I used Cricut Cartridge New Arrivals to cut out the Bathtub, Bathtime Phrase, Bubbles and the Rubber Duckie. I inked around the mats, rounded the corners of the mats with corner rounder and used stickles on the bubbles and the Duck. I stamped a round journaling circle on one of the mats.

Ready, Set, Go!

My room is a little rustic. Some day I hope to redo the walls, ceiling and the floor, but for now, I have the spare room in our home as my craft room. Again, as I said, it is a little rustic and I do have to share it with the family(meaning they store their extra stuff in there -like dd's barbie collection or dh's extensive collection of books and remnants from ds with his glow in the dark stars). My room is definitely not one you would see in a magazine. But it is my own little space. So let's head on into my room

And here to greet us on our tour is one of my furbabies and trusty assistant, Kit Kat. She also likes to call this room HERS. She sits on the Dale Jr. seat cushion on the shelves in front of the window and guards the house. At least that is the story she gives us, really she is just soaking up sun and getting into mischief. The other furbaby Cuddles use to hang out in here and catch the rays, but since she is 18 it is hard for her to jump up high so she usually just comes into say hi and remind me to come sit with her.

My desk was made by husband, and I love it. And caught in the act of knocking a loose flower off my desk and onto the flower is Kit Kat. It is not uncommon for her to do that or to pick up one of the flowers and run off with it to play somewhere else in the house with it.

My husband made my desk for me from some old wood he had. I keep my tool boxes(Plano) and my cricut on it so they are at my fingertips. I used old spice racks to house some of jars with buttons or paint dabbers.I purchased a ribbon wall organizer so my ribbon is at my fingertips.

On the right side of my desk, I have a paper trolley with some of my pattern paper. And I have hanging file organizer to store my Paper cutter and papers.

On the left side of my desk, I have some Cubes I bought from Michaels for my solid paper and of course, my BOOM BOX. I work better with music.

My husband bought me some heavy duty utility shelves from Sam's club. I store some clear containers with projects, Sizzix dies, my cricut cartridge organizers, flower organizers on them as well as providing a spot for Kit Kat to sun herself. As you can see our tour guide is making sure they are in their proper place. And Yes, a view of Kit Kat's perch(Dale Jr. Seat cushion).

Hubby also gave me this handy dandy little bin to store flowers, paper corners, etc. I store my clear stamps in these little books. And I used the bins below for flowers and other embellishements.

I have some Martha Stewart Cubes to house my clear organizer boxes of brads, punches,

I have another table in my room. It is my diecutting area.

I store my albums on a bookshelf next to my diecutting table which hubby made(Hubby stores his books there too).

I store my paper scraps in hanging files in a plastic crate.

On the back of my door, I have a door hanger which I purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond to hang my crop bags.

My birthday project today was a birthday card for Deb. The birthday cake is a digital image from paper press and it was a freebie. I colored it with my copic markers and used Martha Stewart glitter markers on on the dots and hearts and flames. I used my cricut to cut the 50th with the Hannah Montana Cartridge.

Use crystal lacquer on the eyes, bottle and glass. Stickles on the bubbles. Then added some patterned and solid paper. Ribbon and a flower embellishment. And bingo a simple New Year's card!

The idea for this hop was to a project for Christmas using non traditional colors. So, I used my favorite color PINK! I made a countdown box. I used Karen's Foster Countdown box. I used the pink Christmas papers to cover the sides, back, tops and front of each of the drawers. I used black sticker numbers and some Christmas buttons.

My project is 2 cards. I used digi images and then I colored them with my copic markers.

I cut an oval around the image, inked it and then mounted it on a patterned paper. The sentiment is also a digi image. Mounted it on cupcake paper for the inside. I used crystal lacquer on the candle and flame. I put some rhinestones and ribbon.

I cut the image out. Mounted it on cupcake paper by Best Creations. I put digi sentiment on cupcake paper by Recollections. Added some ribbon to the inside and outside.

I love cupcakes! I always loved cupcakes, and I am not surprise they have become so popular lately. They are so much fun to make. I made these Rootbeer Float Cupcakes this summer and they are my favorite.

Yesterday, I shared the little girl in me Christmas List. Today, I would like to share my GROWNUP CHRISTMAS LIST. All I Want For Christmas is A FAMILY CHRISTMAS. I love my family and family has always been important to me. I love spending time with them. But I also love getting the chance to make or find something special to light up their eyes and bring out the little kid in them. So, I made this layout to put our annual Family Christmas Pictures.

I used the same paper as yesterday. Again I used Joys of the Season. I cut out the Poinseittas, snowflakes, and tree with the cartridge. I used Hannah Montana for the Title. I used pink crystal lacquer on the poinseitta berry. The large snowflake opens and will serve as a journaling tag.

My projects for today are wooden ornaments and wooden frames.

I painted each wooden frame. Then I trace the frame shape on to the paper I wanted to decopauge on to the front. Cut it out and decoupaged it on to the frame. After it dried, I took some paint and light edged around the paper and frame edges to make it look distressed. Added some flower/button embellies.

The wooden ornaments I purchased at Joanns. For the angel, I used paint markers. Then I used some glitter glue on the crown, collar and wand.

For the wood crosses, I painted them a solid color. After they dried, I fill the inside with colored beads in glue. I then added some ribbon, pearls and a flower.

I made three little things for my Secret Santa Person, and I stuck with a theme/color-Blue Winter.
The first project is a decoupaged Candle. I use a simple white pillar candle. I used some blue metallic wrapping paper and and cut out a Snowman face from some other wrapping paper. I decoupaged them onto the white candle. Then I sprinkle some glitter onto the top and sides of the candle. Just a very tiny amount of glitter on snowman picture. I put some ribbon around the top and bottom.

My second little gift project is a mini tree. I used a small stryofoam cone, pearl tipped pins, and 3 different patterns of winter blue scrapbook paper. I used my Cricut and George Cartridge to cut 1 in.circles. I inked around the edges of the circle, crumpled them a little bit, and then stuck them on the tree in a varying pattern.

My last gift project for my Secret Santa is an adorable little SNOWMAN! I got the pattern from Aunt and I just had to try to make him. He just turned out so adorable.

Since it is Christmas and I am in the mood, I will give away blog candy to two lucky hoppers. First blog candy is one of the cute little snowman with either pink, blue or red hat. Second blog is one of the cute little trees in your choice of Red, Green, or Blue . All you need to do is be a follower of my blog, leave a comment on each person blog. I made 2 projects for this hop. My first project is a Girlie Girl Layout. I used Kate's ABCs to cut out the flowers, little girl with buggy and kittens, flowers, butterflies and purse. I used Hannah Montana to cut the title and the frame. I used a glaze pen on the cat's face, the little girl's face and her flowers on her hat.

My second project is a little purse. I used Forever Young to cut it out. I used stickles around the glasses cutout. I added some flowers and ribbon. Perfect little candy party favor for your favorite girlie girl.

Well, today is the big CHAMPIONSHIP RACE, and fingers crossed that Carl Edwards will take the Championship! So, I did a layout of Carl Edwards. GO CARL!!!!! I used my cricut, of course. Hey, wow, noticed that two of my favorite things start with a "C" Cricut and Carl!!! LOL I used Every Day Paper Dolls to cut out the Car and Helmet. I used Disney Cars for the streaks and flames. I used Cuttin Up for 99 and Aflac. I used Animal Kingdom for the Duck and Base Camp for the words Carl Edwards. I used blue and lime bling. I used crystal lacquer on the visor area of the helmet.

My favorite driver is Carl Edwards, but I also like Dale Jr. and Denny Hamlin. Actually Darryl Waltrip, Dale Jarrett and Jeff Gordon were my first favorite drivers, then Dale Jr. But once Carl came into Nascar, he became my favorite. I have had the chance to meet Carl twice and he is very sweet. My layout is Dale Jr. The first time I went to a Sprint Cup race was in 2006. We went to Michigan International Speedway in June, and the pictures are from that race. Now we go every year in June and August to Michigan.

My 2nd project is paper mache letters I did for my best friend's son. His initials are DJR and he is an avid Dale Jr. Fan. So, I covered them with Dale Jr. paper.

My third project for today is these little deco squares I made for a swap I was in.

First of all, I want to wish Nicole a very Happy 40th Birthday, and I am honored to be participating in this hop in honor of her birthday. My project for today is a card and layout to send to Nicole for her birthday. I used my Gypsy to weld a Crown from Simply Charmed together. I cut it from shiny Pink Paper. Then I cut a single crown slightly smaller from Glitter Pink Zebra Paper. I welded numbers 40 together and cut them from Fuchusia Sparkle Paper. I added some ribbon and flowers. Taa-dah, I have a birthday card for Nicole.

For the layout, I used Black Bling as the base. I cut two 5 in. stripes of the Recollections Glitter Pink Zebra Paper. I used Fuchsia Coordination’s to make 5 ½ x7 ½ mat and 2-4 ½ x 6 ½ mats.

I cut a crown with Simply Charmed from Recollections Fuchsia Sparkle Paper. I welded 40 together with the Gypsy and cut it from Recollections Glitter Pink Zebra Paper. I used Hannah Montana Cartridge to cut 1 ½ title letters and shadow letters from Black Bling and Recollections Fuchsia Sparkle Paper. I added some Ribbon and Flowers for finishing touches. Flowers for card and layout are from Recollections.

For my project today, I did both digital and traditional scrapbooking projects. These first six are digital pages My Mom, My Grandparents and My Godmother/Aunt. I am always doing a book about the hubby or the kids. So, I decided to start this book with the first people in my life prior to my life with hubby and the kids. I am still new at the digital thing, but My Memories is so easy.

I also did some traditional layouts because I love traditonal hands on scrapbooking. And I had to get some in of the kids, and my Mom again.

I love DUCKS! I always wanted ducks, but unfortunately I have never lived on a farm. Still got time to get my farm and have my ducks! I take pictures of ducks all the time. Like this weekend during our little hike.

Participating in this hop finally gave me the incentive to use the CTMH Duck Stamps I bought a couple years ago. And here are the results:

I made a set of five individual cards using the CTMH Duck stamps. I used TOMBO markers to color them, and then using my Creative Circle Cutter, I cut them out into circles, as well as cut two shades of blue glitter paper and white bling paper as mats. I found some old bubbles and rain drops embellishments I had laying around. I inked everything with a cat eye. I used pop dots to pop up a few of the bubbles.

As we all know, Cats have their own personality and most definitely an attitude. I have had 3 cats of my own, and I also took care of my mom’s cat and my godson’s cat. Needless to say, each of those 5 cats have/had their own distinct personality and are/were lovable furballs. In fact, my two darling furbabies, Cuddles and Kit Kat have started their page. Please be sure to check out their page. They would love some friends. And I heard they are giving out some blog candy of their own, including a special treat to a furry friend follower.

After Fluffy passed away, I didn't think I would ever get another cat, because well, I never thought I would find such a sweetie as her. And, I was taking care of my Mom's cat, Tuffy and my godson's cat, Sabrina since neither were able to keep their cats at their homes since they each moved into new places. But my grandparents' friend who was a vet had some little kittens, and my grandparents told me to go over and pick out one. Well, I went to the vets, and the vet assistant walked me over to the cage. As we walked toward the cage, I noticed this white and orange paw reaching out the cage, and this little orange and white kitten. The tech reached in and picked up the little furball. She handed her to me and the kitten immediately began licking my nose and giving me kitty kisses as she purred happily. The tech said she had never done that to them or anyone else. So, I joke that Cuddles adopted me. And ever since she has been giving me kitty kisses. Cuddles is 18 years old. And I can't even begin to tell you what an absolutely adorable and good natured cat she is. We have been through alot together and she is my precious furbaby. She got along great with Tuffy and Sabrina. The three of them would cuddle. And after I married, she got a big black lab brother named Brady whom she came to adore. After Tuffy, Sabrina and Brady passed away, she was lonely. but she still loved cuddling with Mom and Dad. When she can't find us or her sister, she cries loudly.

She loves this easter bunny as it plays the Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail and the eggs opens with a chick popping out. She sniffs the chick every time.

She lets Mommy dress her up.

She loves to cuddle with her Mommy.

She loves giving her kitty kisses

. And of course, she loves to party!

A few years after her stroke, my mom moved into her own apartment again. She had lived with us and she bonded with Cuddles. So, she was lonely. One day while at the Vet, I noticed a cat in a cage. It was up for adoption. Once I picked her up, I knew we needed to adopted her. The tech told me she had been kept in a cage alot as the previous owner had gone to jail and had a friend watch her, but the friend didn't like cats so the friend eventually tired of caring for her and brought her to the Vet. So, I got the cat for my mom. . We named her Kit Kat. She was 18 months and she a Seal Point Himayalan. A year later, my mom had to move into assisted living and she couldn't keep Kit Kat. So, Kit Kat came to live with us. At first, Kit Kat was standoffish but soon, she was part of the family. Cuddling with us and Cuddles. Purring loudly and playing happily. She still doesn't like loud noises specially firecrackers and thunder. At first Cuddles pretended not to like her, but soon, they were sisters. And now, they love to hang out together. Kit Kat is a sweetie. She loves her older sister and loves to clean her. She loves sitting in my craft room as I craft.

I used my Cricut to cut out the Title and Paw. The Cat was cut with my Sizzix. Cuddles tolerated me putting Daddy's hats on her and taking her picture.

She thinks it was her duty to guard baby Jesus.

When a friend's cat had kittens, I got two kittens from her. I gave one to my Mom, and one to my Godson. Tuffy was my Mom's cat. He was a tan tabby cat. When we brought him home, he immediately adopted Fluffy as his surrogate mom, and would follow her around. He also loved cuddling with his sister, Sabrina. Tuffy loved food ----lasagne, pizza. He use to meet the pizza man at the door. He also like to bite my nails. He was so cute and loved cuddling. When he was 10, he became very sick and we discovered he had a hole in his heart. Unfortunately, he left us shortly after.

A rabbit we got at Great America which he promptly claimed as his own.

Sabrina was my godson’s cat, and Tuffy’s sister. She was a calico. Jon nicknamed her “Boots” as her feet were white like boots. Sabrina was so small and just a little lady. She loved orange sherbet and tuna. She loved mothering Tuffy and Cuddles. She knew when we were sick and she would come to comfort us. Sabrina lived to the age of 16.

Did someone say "TUNA"

I decided to make a book for my mom about Tuffy, but then, I realized how fond she was of the other four cats. So, I am including all them. She loves/loved each one of them. So, I started this book, and I will divide it into five sections. The first section will be my Mom's cat, Tuffy and here is my first page. A very simple layout.

The second page is also very simple.

The third page describes one of Tuffy's favorite activities: CATNAPPING

The fourth page is A Day In the Life.

And the fifth page is It's All About Catitude which is something Tuffy definitely had.

And for a swap, I made these little deco squares. I used my Sizzix and this adorable paper.

7 things about Me:
1. I was born and raised in Wisconsin! I am a native Cheesehead!

We have a very loving and beautiful family(Children, Granddaughter, Godchildren, Furbabies, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews and parents).
I am married to my best friend and knight in shining armor who offered to swim across Lake Michigan when we were dating. He is the wind beneath my wings.
I am a shy person. But once I get to know someone, you can't shut me up. Just ask my husband and the kids. I am a very very loyal friend and I love doing little random acts of kindness for the people I love. I never really had a best friend as a kid. When I was little, we moved a lot and I went to a lot of different schools. I was always the new kid. So, it was often hard to have a best friend because we were usually moving within a year or two. But when I was in 4th grade, I did have a best friend, Joleene, who I kept in touch with for several years after we moved from the area. I recently found her again on Facebook. I would love to find my junior high/high school best friend, Robin as she was the friend I was the closest to as we stopped moving after I got into junior high school. But in my sophomore year of high school, Robin moved and I never heard from her again
My parents have been divorced since I was 2, and last year, I finally found 3 half sisters and a half brother on facebook. I can’t even begin to tell how it felt to find them and in addition, I got 5 nieces, 1 nephew and a great niece. Still brings tears to my eyes.
I have food allergies. I am allergic to milk, nuts, peanuts, seafood, fish and raspberries. I had them for over 16 years. It was hard at first, but we have learned to deal with them. I think sometimes other people have a harder time with understanding food allergies. They don't understand just one small little bit or even touch or smell of the food could ultimately end my life.
My grandmother, my Mom and my aunt were/are my role models. Since my mom was a single mom and worked, I spent alot time with my grandmother and aunt. They both are very religious, loving, old fashioned, family first women. They inspire me. My mom suffered a stroke which left her paralyzed on one side, but she still continues to walk a little with the assistance of a walker. My grandmother battled colon cancer, unfortunately it ultimately took her life, but she battled it with grace and dignity. I talk with my aunt every day, and we share a love of scrapbooking.

I have half heartedly tried digital scrapbooking before, just bascially goofing around with it. I had Memory Mixer which I got at a rummage sale and tried the free software from Scrapbook Flair. But, I wanted something a little user friendly. So, I purchased My Memories Suite to create the projects for this hop. It is awesome. I love it! While I will always be a traditional homemade scrapbooker, Digital will help to make some books and projects. And, I will enjoy doing both. After purchasing the My Memories Suite, I have decided to make a book for my husband for our anniversary. While I have plenty of time, I made five pages for this hop. I used My Memories Suite software to make all 5 pages. The heart background and Hearts came from Scrapbook Flair. They offer free background papers and embellishments

These 5 pages are my first official trys at Digital. I will finish this book for my husband and hopefully will get better and more experienced as I go. Used Paint Dabber on edges of Foam Board, Paper Box to hold Board in Frame, and around each of the papers
Used Fiskars Border Punch on the White Shiny Paper(on the picture piece, I did all sides, but on the image piece, I only did the sides)

I used a glaze pen on the sign wording, then added some pink and white rhinestones. Then, after coloring the image with Copic and Tomboy markers, I used stickles to accent the image.

I love Halloween and Fall. I love decorating, giving out candy, seeing all the cute little kids in their costumes, dressing up, taking the kiddos trick or treating, hayrides, cider, donuts and the pumpkin patch. Raking the leaves and jumping in them. The pretty falls colors. It is so much fun!

I did two cards for today's project. The card is a Halloween one. I found the little picture so I matted it with a oval cut with George. The Black Pumpkin Paper is from BoBunny.(Totally in love with this paper) I added some ribbon, little title, and a pumpkin button.

In the inside, I lined it with some orange sponge patterned paper. I cut three ovals from George to form a pumpkin, and inked around them with a cateye. I cut "Boo" with Simply Charmed. And, the Cat was from Paper Dolls on Black Bling. I used a glaze pen on the cat and also on the little face in Boo.

My second project is a Fall card. Again, I found a little picture and matted it in a oval cut with George. I added some leaf back ground paper and ribbon. I used Doodlecharms to cut the leaves and acorn. I inked around the leaves and acorn. I used a glaze pen on the acorn and pop dotted it up.

In the inside, I lined the inside of the card with tan sponged paper. I found a little shaped box and I cut "Happy Fall" with Simply Charmed. I used some of the leaves and acorn I cut with Doodlecharms. Again, using the glaze pen and pop dotting the acorn. I inked around the leaves and acorn. I also used glaze pen on the little face on the saying.

Now onto my project. I did a Halloween Layout. I used patterned paper from DCVW and Bazzill Bling. I also used two different types of Ribbon. I used my cricut to cut out the cats, the bats and the pumpkin. The pumpkin is 3 d as I used George to cut three ovals to make the pumpkin appear 3D. I use plastic little beady eyes for the cats and the bats. The title was a paper title from one of those old scrapbook paper titles books I got when I first started scrapbooking. I used Orange stickles to dress it up.

Now on to my Royal Project for today. I did another layout. The paper is from My Mind's Eye and Bazzill Cardstock. I used the Storybook Cartridge for the Marque Journaling and the Title " A Wish Came True" . I used Once Upon A Princess Cartridge for the Castle and the Title "Once Upon A Time". I pop dotted layers of the castle. For finishing touches, I layered flowers with pop dots and ribbon. This colors of this layout really grew on me. I used the Fiskars Heart Corner punch again.

My Royal Project is a Princess Layout. I love my cricut, so of course, I used my cricut to assist with my layout. I love Pink and of course, I used Pink. I cut a 11 in. scallop circle with Accents Essential Cartridge from Feather Boa Bling Paper. I cut a 9 in circle from Crown Paper by Imaginesce with the George Cartridge. I used Once upon a Princess cartridge to cut a Princess(5 1/2 in.) I pop dotted the dress up and added a little crown cut from Storybrook Cartridge(2 inches). The "Princess" Title was cut with Storybrook Cartridge at 2 inches with a shadow on two shades of Glitter Dust Paper. I also cut Marque 4(4 in.) with Accent Border from Storybook Cartridge. This will be my journaling box eventually. I used Fiskars lace border punch on the Hearts paper and the crown paper. I use Fiskars Heart Corner punch on the Feather Boa Bling Mats. I use glaze pens to make the eyes and mouth on my Princess. The flowers are by Martha Stewart.

I am fondly refered to as the Pink Cricut Princess by my husband, and as a child, my Grandfather's pet name for me was "Princess" I love attending the Renaissance Festival. My Favorite Disney Princess is Cinderella, and my favorite real life Princess was Princess Diana. In your comment, please tell me who your favorite Princess is.
