My projects for today is gingerbread house centerpiece and three cross ornaments.  Several years ago, I saw this build your own gingerbread house centerpiece kit at Michaels.  I purchased it and several items to decorate and accessorize my gingerbread house centerpiece but I never put it together.  So this hop inspired me to put it together.  .  I used a hot glue to attach all the decorations to the house and the house and decorations to the glitter base. I put the house on a glitter base.

My other project was wooden cross ornaments.  I painted each of my crosses.  Then, I threaded the string the top of the cross.  Then, I took beaded jewels in a glue and put them into middle of the crosses.  Finally, I glued a flower into the middle of the crosses.

My project for today is an exploding box.  I am making it for my aunt/godmother.  I will put pictures of her and I at Christmas in it.  I used white  bazzill bling for the top, red bazzill bling for the first layer, green for the second layer and white bazzill bling for the third layer.  I used patterned paper and stickers from Doodlebug called Santa's workshop.  I rounded all the edges and inked all the edges. I created mats for each of the sides and top.  I added a cute sticker to the top which I pop dotted.  I glued ribbon around the side of the cover with a bow at the end.  I also attached three snowflakes to each side of the box top.

Inside the box, I decorated each of the layers with patterned paper and stickers.  In the very center of the inside of the box, I used some ribbon and felt poinsettias.  Here are some pictures of the inside layers.

Now onto my projects for today.  Since I am trying to use my scrapbook paper and supplies up before purchasing more, I am making personal christmas cards for my family and friends this year.  So here are two more cards I created with paper scraps.

For the first card, I used a stamp and matching die set from the Stamps of Life.  This is the first time I have used stamps with a matching die, and it was fun.l  I stamped the image with black ink on white paper then use the die to cut out the stamp image.  Then I used the die to cut out white on white flock paper and colored part of the stocking on colored paper  I also used stamp set message and stamped it in red on green paper.  Dimensions for card base 6x12, score at 6.  Green paper 5 1/2 square, Santa paper 5 1/4 x 2 1/2, and Red stripe 5 1/2 x 1 1/2.  I added some snowflakes stickers and put rhinestones in the middle.   I pop dotted the stockings.

For this card, I cut two christmas trees with sizzix christmas tree die(one in red and one in gold).  Card dimensions 5 1/2 x 12 score at 6 in Burgundy, Ivory 5 1/4 x 5 3/4, 5 x 5 1/2 Snowflake paper, 4 x 4 3/4 Burgundy stone, 3 3/4 x 4 1/2 christmas paper,   I adhered each layer.  Then I adhered gold tree to side.  I pop dotted red tree on top of gold tree with gold tree showing as a shadow.  I added some ornament stickers to the tree.  I added snowflake stickers to 3 corners and a christmas sentiment at the top.
