Lettering Delights
My project for Day 8 is decorated jar candles. I started with a large Jar candle from Michaels, small jar candle from dollar store, mod podge, and glass glitter. First I took the label off of the jar.
Then, using a foam brush, I applied the mod podge to the glass jar in sections. As I applied the mod podge to each section, I then sprinkled the colored glass glitter over the section.
Once I had covered the entire jar, I let it sit for about 15 minutes, then I check for any spots not covered and applied mod podge to the spot and sprinkled the glitter over the area. I let the glittered candle jars dry for at least 45 minutes. Then, using my hot glue gun, ribbon, a small charm, jingle bell and poinsettia, I decorated each jar. I even decorated the top of the jar.
The little jar was done in a mixture of green, pink and blue glass glitter. And, I will be giving the little jar away as blog candy today. All you need to do is be a follower and leave a comment below. I will announce the winner tomorrow!!

Those are LOVELY!! I see that you are not of afraid of glitter either!! Thanks for sharing!
What a fun idea!!! I've never seen anyone do this before. I love to see new ideas. They look so festive and fun! I can see I need to glitterize a few things myself for the holidays! Thanks for the inspiration. I may have to "lift" your wonderful idea. Hope mine turn out as lovely as yours. Truly delightful!
These are soooo pretty!!!!!
They look so pretty and sparkly. Love the little bells you added to them.
Oh my! How pretty!
These are beautiful.
Using the glue will hopefully keep the glitter from
running all over.
The embellishments on the jars are so pretty.
thanks for sharing.
Whoa! Those have to be the most beautifulest (yes, that's a word, it's "mine" lol) jars I've ever seen.
These are so pretty! And the glitter doesn't come off?
I want to make some of these. Does the jar say "glass" glitter?
I love those! They would make fabulous gifts for my kids teachers!
Yes, the jar says glass glitter. Spray the jar with hairspray and it helps keep the glitter from coming off
Thank you for all the tips, those look really cool!
Cute project!
